The other side of successful life

I have been waiting for the movie “Ranga Maarthaanda” ever since it was announced because I am very interested in films, film making process, how the actors lives are, etc. Yesterday the “Ranga Maarthaanda” movie got released, and it is about the life of a very talented and popular stage actor. I have watched the film and since then so many thoughts are going through my mind continuously. Somehow I feel I am doing the same mistakes as the lead character in the movie did, who ended up having a miserable life at the end of his life.

Friday fun for Techies

THIS IS JUST FOR FUN, Not meant to be taken seriously Me to new JavaScript frameworks :-) Finally, I am about to start working, someone calling for another meeting When HR giving speech on how friendly our company work-culture is, long-term employees be like When the over-enthusiastic junior developer is saying “We should use pure functional programming with Event Sourcing” When you hear: I thought ‘git commit’ is enough, we need to do ‘git push’ also?

Why I don't read personality development books anymore?

I want to be successful in my career. Who doesn’t? Everyone wants to be successful. But sometimes we don’t know how to deal with a problem, then we seek advice from others like our elders or books etc. A lot of people, especially youngsters, try to read books which can be broadly categorized into Personality Development or Self Help books to become a better person. That’s a wonderful thing because life is too short to make all the mistakes by yourself and learn from them.

Oh yeah, Indian Software Developers Code Sucks!!!

In India, there is a news channel called TVx. Whenever they don’t have any other interesting news to grab people attention, they start telecasting their all-time favorite programs like Is the world is going to end in 2048? or Is Mayan’s prediction about world ending is right? or Is IT employees are suffering from psychological problems? etc. In the same way, some websites keep writing articles like Code produced by Indians is bad quality or The Indian programmer myth etc for every 6 months.

Having some fun is absolutely necessary in these COVID-19 times to relax a bit :-) In the final round of interview when the interviewer told you that you will be working on building a microservices based platform and you can help in setting up infrastructure using Kubernetes too, if you are interested… After joining when they put you in a 15-year-old project and start assigning low priority bugs opened in 2008… While onboarding the HR folks singing how a cool a typical day in their organization is and that engineering manager showing you how agile their work culture is… When you show your quick prototype and business folks liked it and asked you to make sure it works fine on Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE11 and be ready to give a demo by Friday and went on to dance floor… Those senior developers who neither gets excited about new technologies nor worry to work on JSF 1.

Life is beautiful, If you keep it simple

A year ago I was in Germany (Berlin) and it was a beautiful Saturday evening. I was alone and feeling bored. Then I suddenly remembered about a book my friend recommended to me, specifically one particular story. I picked up the book and start reading the story my friend suggested. After reading the story I had no words, no thoughts…nothing. I was just sitting there without any thoughts or emotions for few minutes.

The ugly truth

I am so excited to meet my old friend Vinay after a long time. It has been almost one and half year we spoke to each other. We worked together in one of my previous organizations and he is a close friend and kind of mentor to me too. We both got busy in our lives, and we are not in touch lately. I am so happy to meet him after a long time.

From "OMG, I don't have enough time" to "I am getting bored"

Few months ago… Its Saturday. I woke up at 5.30 AM as usual. I know exactly what to do today because I usually plan what I will do next day. Today I planned to learn about AWS and Terraform. Todo List 1. Learn AWS & Terraform After morning routine activities I was skimming through my Twitter timeline.
